Welcome to the new and improved Healthcare Toolbox!

Over the last year, we at the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress (CPTS) have been working to update the Healthcare Toolbox website. Our team has refreshed and renovated the site to make it as user friendly as possible, expanding and updating our content, and highlighting information and resources to help you address pediatric medical traumatic stress.

We are launching the new Healthcare Toolbox site during National Nurses Week (May 6-12, 2021) to honor the hard work of nurses in pediatric healthcare, and to highlight resources that support their work and well-being, as well as that of their patients. We hope that nurses, in addition to other healthcare providers and families, will benefit from our renovated site. Thank you nurses for all you do!

If you are looking to explore the new site, here are some places to start:

  • Interested in trauma-informed care? Get started here.
  • Continue to bolster your knowledge of trauma informed care here, with our free online courses! Stay tuned for a new course coming soon.
  • Find information to help patients and families coping with injury and illness, including downloadable patient handouts.
  • What’s New: During the COVID-19 pandemic, CPTS has continued to develop information and tools to address stress in healthcare providers and children with existing health conditions. With colleagues around the country, we developed a measure to help you assess COVID-19’s impact on your patients and their families.

We will continue to update the site regularly, with the occasional blog post. In the meantime, follow the Center for Pediatric Traumatic Stress @PedTraumaStress on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for timely news and information.
