Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, with sponsorship from Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation, launched  First Steps Towards Healing, a webinar series about childhood cancer. Geared towards children with cancer, their siblings and parents, this webinar series will cover post-traumatic stress disorder, coping, siblings, community resources, medical late effects as well as other topics.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is hosting a free webinar to discuss the role of the primary care pediatrician in identifying patients who have experienced multiple types of violence.

Recognizing the signs and symptoms of traumatic stress is first in a series of important steps to help children and teens cope with trauma. The next step is to help the child or teen find the appropriate therapy. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) provides an evidence based therapy for children and teens experiencing traumatic stress reactions.
